A little about me ...

I live in Austin, Texas! My favorite foods are pizza, pasta and cereal, which makes my diet the opposite of Atkins. My favorite movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I absolutely love my husband and don't find him nearly as annoying as he thinks I do. I really really really love my job. I have the three most adorably sweet and beautiful children in the entire world. I'm a terrible housekeeper. I've always wanted to own a VW bus and would rather drive around in a hippie van than a sports car. My sixteen year old sister is my very best friend. I got married on Halloween in a polka dotted dress! I'm a Mac :) I will only eat Blue Bell ice cream. I have a pink and black bike with flames on it! I use a lot of exclamation points when I email people (and smileys!) I love wearing pajamas and only change into real clothes when I absolutely have to. I love old school hip hop and punk rock bands with girl singers. I am a super picky eater. I can't stand being around negative people. I've always wanted to go skydiving, but I'm way too wimpy to actually do it. I'm happy ... truly happy :)

This is Meredith, one of my FAAAAAVORITE brides of all time! She wanted something a little different for her bridal session and I love what we ended up with! The first half of our session was “normal” and the second half was “SASSY!” I love it! Some of my faves …

Roxy in Stripes

I bought Roxy this striped shirt weeks ago, but she refused to wear it until just this past weekend when I bought her a (semi) matching headband. I do NOT know where she gets the matchy-matchy thing from because my clothes NEVER match. I’m glad I found something she approved of, though … how cute...

Stop waiting { life is now! }

Life is now.
Duhhhh, right? It seems so obvious. But is it? How many of you are really living in the present? How many of you are actively thinking about what’s going on RIGHT NOW, as opposed to what needs to get done or how things will be tomorrow? I’ve always been bad about living in...

Roxy’s Birthday Party!

Roxy’s birthday party was the last weekend of January and it was SOOOO much fun! The house was filled with kiddos and we made tulle tutus for all the little girls. Roxy even got to wear her oh-so-frilly “Birthday” tiara. Here are some of my faves from the day …
The birthday girl, herself, who is...

My beautiful friend Cassie and her beautiful baby Jenesis

I’ve known Cassie since she was a little girl. My mom and her mom have been friends for years. I actually remember the day Cassie was born. I was only 11 years old, but I remember going with my mom to the hospital to meet her. Even though I was still just a kid myself,...

Sarah and Adam { Sneak Peek! }

BIGGG congrats to Sarah and Adam who were married tonight at Barr Mansion! They are SUCH a cute couple and their families are so so so sweet. I absolutely loved everything about this wedding, even though it started a wee bit late and we kinda ran out of sunlight before the bride and groom portraits....

Move over Cinderella …

I like to think we’re a pretty cool family. Henry and I are both artists who work from home. Our kiddos rock mohawks and Chuck Taylors and bright colorful tights. We shop at locally owned stores and let our kids cover their arms in temporary tattoos That said – sometimes it’s hard to...

day in the life family sessions { with a twist }

Sure, you could get all dressed up and try to make the little ones smile at the camera. You could stress out about how to keep their clothes from getting wrinkled and try to bribe them with ice cream if they’ll just sit still for just a few minutes for the pictures. You could force...
