I’ve always had an eye for photography and graphic design, but I was never a very good “hands-on” kind of artist. Drawing and painting have always been fun for me, but NOT something I’ve ever been good at. Henry, my sweet, wonderful, awesome hubby, though, has SOOOO much natural artistic talent that sometimes he just blows me away. I’ve been working my butt off on new designs for the store this week and have been hinting to Henry that he should help me design some new Save the Date cards. His style is just about the OPPOSITE of mine, though, so he’s been hesitant to do much, thinking I wouldn’t like his ideas. Yeah, ummmmm … WHATEVER!! I absolutely LOVE these Save the Date designs Henry HAND DREW, scanned and colored in Photoshop. Seriously. I love ‘em! How cute would these be for young couples who are into graffiti and music and urban-style art?!? PERFECTO!!
I haven’t made these into templates yet for the store and I’m trying to think of ways to use ‘em along with photos (since the store is mainly for photographers … duh!) but keep an eye out for more “Henry-style” art over there soon. I think the combination of my sweet, vintage-y, happy style and Henry’s messy, urban, rock n’ roll style is going to be a match made in Heaven
